Meet the 2019/20 Annual Volunteer Ibis Bicycle Winner
One of our favorite parts of hosting volunteer work is that at the end of the trailwork season, we get to raffle off an Ibis Cycles bicycle to one lucky volunteer! For every 6 hours of work, each volunteer gets an entry into the raffle. We couldn’t host our usual volunteer appreciation banquet where we pick the winner, but we were able to keep the celebratory vibes high by announcing the winner last Friday live on YouTube Live. You can check out the full video here if you’d like to watch the drawing.

With that in mind, we are thrilled to introduce to this year’s winner, Rick Iwamoto! Rick has volunteered with MBOSC for the past 5 years (he started by volunteering on the Flow Trail!), and explained that he volunteers with MBOSC “to help increase the quantity and quality of trails in the area and also to work alongside all of the friends I've made through the organization.” He's a 35-year resident of Cupertino and is gifting the bike to his wife, who currently rides a hardtail, so she can enjoy a smoother trail experience. Rick's pretty sure she'll go with the new Mojo v4, an incredible choice. Thank you for your hard work this season, Rick! We hope the new bike brings your family happiness and excitement.
The chance to win your very own Ibis is just one more reason to volunteer with MBOSC. For every 6 volunteers hours you work in a trailwork season, you earn one entry to win a new Ibis in our end-of-season raffle and unlock additional discounts with our partners. We hope to see you out in the field with us for trailwork next season!
We’d like to give a huge thank you to each of our volunteers, and of course to Ibis for their continuous support of our volunteer efforts!
If you are a 2019/2020 volunteer who's volunteered 12 or more hours, our partners at Spokesman Bicycles and Trail Head Cyclery are able to offer you a discount on an Ibis bicycle. Please see the PDF linked here to find your name, hours and instructions on how to use your discount.
