Ante Up for Trails Winner Announced!

Just over a month ago our Ante Up for Trails campaign with Santa Cruz Bicycles came to close, earning us a record breaking $68,140 towards trails in Santa Cruz County. We drew a winner, but never heard a response, so we had to wait the 30 days we called out in our campaign rules and regulations.
Well folks, we're happy to say we drew again and found our winner.
Meet Mike Block, bike mechanic and soon to be firefighter from Fairfax, who is also expecting his first baby with his wife Annie, pictured.
"I ride all over Marin county, I live in Fairfax so I ride a lot of the local single tracks around there as well as the rest of Mt. Tam. Other locations would include trails in West Marin and Tahoe. I also do frequent trips to Santa Cruz with my friends and enjoy all the great trails that area has to offer.

I work full time as a technician at Mike’s Bikes right now in Sausalito, however my main ambition is to be a firefighter, that is something I have been training to do for the last few years.
As far as being involved in my local bike community, my current job provides lots of opportunities to help out our local riders. Whatever it may be: helping out on a last min repair before someone’s big ride, or volunteering to help repair bikes for those in need. I recently volunteered at the Southern Marin fire department with some other mikes bikes employees and other local mechanics fixing up bike to donate to the victims of the recent fires in Sonoma county.
Besides riding mountain bikes I am really passionate about surfing and spending time with loved ones. I recently found out I’ll be having my first kid with my beautiful wife Annie, so getting this news about wining my dream bike is literally a dream come true, seeing how most all my funds will be going towards diapers and not a new shred sled. Thanks again, still can’t believe I won!"
