ACTION ALERT! Bike Park Proposed at Gilroy Gardens! Voice Your Support!

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park has proposed developing a bike park adjacent to its theme park site in Gilroy. The proposal includes a 536 acre mountain bike park with a diverse range of trails to serve a diverse range of mountain bikers as well as uplift provided by chairlift. This would be the first bike park of this kind in the greater bay area and would provide an experience that now requires California mountain bikers to travel as far away as Tahoe, Mammoth or Shasta. This presents a unique opportunity for a mountain bike oriented trail experience.
This project is going in front of the Gilroy Bicycle Pedestrian Commission on September 24th at 6pm at Gilroy City Council Chambers where there will hopefully be a vote to recommend that council adopt the plan and enter into a lease with bike park. Your voice is needed to ensure that the plan moves forward! Please consider attending the meeting to support this project or writing a letter to both the commission and Gilroy City Council.
