On Friday, December 11, the California Coastal Commission found the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) plan for Cotoni-Coast Dairies to be concurrent with the California Coastal Act!
This action paves the way for the BLM to finalize its planning effort and move forward with implementing the plan.
The plan calls for 17 miles of new multi-use trails in its first phase as well as parking and bathroom infrastructure. The new trail network will provide amazing views and an engaging trail experience for all trail users as well as connect to San Vicente Redwoods and the Coastal Rail Trail. MBOSC has received a grant from the BLM to assist with trail planning and construction activities. MBOSC staff have begun fieldwork to finalize trail alignments and will be working to secure additional funds to fully fund trail construction.
If you participated in the public planning process, thank you!
