BREAKING: Santa Cruz Parks & Beaches, Local CA State Parks Closed April 8-15
It's with a heavy heart that we must share news that Santa Cruz County has recently placed an order to close all public parks, trails, trailheads, beaches, and beach access points from 11:59 p.m. PT on April 8 through 11:59 p.m. PT on April 15, 2020.
While this is sad news for our community of outdoor enthusiasts, it is a good step for us to take to protect public health at this critical moment. We've all noticed the influx of trail use over the past few weeks, and our team here at MBOSC is hopeful that this short-term closure will result in long-term public health wins for Santa Cruz County and nearby communities. We're all in this together, and the sooner this health crisis passes, the sooner we can hit the trails safely. Check out more details on closures and a link to the full order below.
