2019/20 Dig Day Season Kicks Off Nov 16

October 20, 2019
Are you ready to start slingin' a shovel, McLeod, rake, or rogue hoe?! Well we've got good news for you... Our 2019/20 Dig Day season kicks off on November 16 with the Calero Dig Day! Did you catch that? ...Calero! That's right. Calero County Park is a brand new location for a MBOSC Dig Day. We are excited to help our friends with the Santa Clara County Parks Trail Crew and SVMTB finish up a new trail called Oak Cove Trail. Construction of this trail needs to be finished up this year to meet grant funding requirements, so we're eager to help them get the job done. All of us at MBOSC are proud to have established this new partnership with the Santa Clara County Parks Trail Crew and SVMTB, and we look forward to bringing our incredible volunteers to Oak Cove Trail. At the Dig Day on Saturday, November 16, we'll be doing finish work on the southern end of the new trail.

The drive is only about 10 minutes longer to Calero than it is to SDSF from Santa Cruz.
From the parking lot, it is about a 10-15 walk to the work area. There are picnic tables and some scattered trees at the trailhead.
