Join us for our favorite holiday of the year — National Trails Day! SIGN UP BELOW!

To celebrate National Trails Day this year, we’re hosting a one-of-a-kind volunteer event that’s equal parts trail work and party!

We’ll start the day by heading out to DeLaveaga Park with a team of volunteers for some good ol’ fashioned trail work. The plan is to install wood retaining walls as well as complete some trail brushing. After a little bit of hard work, it’ll be time to celebrate! We’ll gather at the Specialized Experience Center for food, beverages, prizes, and more. Sponsors, Specialized and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, are sending us some awesome raffle prizes; we can promise you won’t want to miss out on this event.

Check out the details below, and make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter. There will only be spots for 20 volunteers at this event, and newsletter subscribers will be the first to know when sign-ups open!

Who: The first 20 people to sign up

What: Trail work, food, beverages (including Sierra Nevada), raffles with prizes from Sierra Nevada, Specialized, and more!

When: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. — Saturday, June 5th, 2021

Where: DeLaveaga Park

Why: National Tails Day!

What to bring: helmet, gloves, eye protection, comfortable shoes, we recommend pants and a long sleeve (poison oak is no fun), water, a light pack to carry your items, a change of clothes for after the trail work if you’d like, and most importantly, your party pants.

As the American Hiking Society puts it “Millions of people have found physical, mental, and emotional restoration on trails during the pandemic. Let’s return the favor and care for America’s magnificent trail system and ensure everyone in the U.S. can enjoy trails and natural areas.”
