Celebrate National Trails Day with Us!

Saturday, June 3. We’ll host the largest volunteer event ever in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

We’re incredibly excited to announce our largest annual event–a full day of trail work and celebration on National Trails Day (Saturday, June 3). In one single day, 20+ supporting land agencies, stewardship organizations, and sponsors will join us to welcome hundreds of volunteers to steward, build, and maintain trails throughout our beloved parks.

National Trails Day is an annual stewardship effort led by the American Hiking Association, and this year, we’re going BIG. We have 19 volunteer trail work events planned for National Trails Day, ranging from the north coast to south county. Events will run concurrently, and after the digging’s done, we’ll all gather for a massive party at DeLaveaga Park.

Here’s how it’ll work:

  • Event sign-ups will go live Wednesday, 4/26. Peruse the list of events, sign up for your favorite, and get excited to make history with us!

  • On the morning of Saturday, June 3, you’ll head out into the field for some trail work and then drive down to DeLaveaga Park for some well-deserved food and bevies.

  • We’ll party together, enjoy our biggest raffle EVER, and honor annual volunteer rewards (like our yearly Ibis volunteer giveaway)!

Get excited! National Trails Day is the largest trail work event we’ve ever hosted. Come out and dig with us, make some new friends, and enjoy FREE food and drink in the sunshine. It’ll be a blast. Together, we’ll make a massive impact on the health of our local trails.
