Happy Trails Amanda!
October 18, 2019
It is bittersweet for those of us at MBOSC to announce that Amanda Schaper’s last day as our Marketing & Events Director will be Monday, October 28. Over the last few months we have discussed her goal of pursuing an independent consulting business, and she decided that it’s time to take the leap. While we are sad to see her go, we couldn’t be happier for Amanda to pursue her goals. We look forward to continue working with her in a new capacity as she launches her business.
Amanda’s work in marketing strategy, branding, graphic design, communications, and event production have contributed to the professionalization of our organization. Her work has also brought many thousands of new people into the MBOSC community. Here are a few highlights of what she has accomplished during her time as Marketing & Events Director:
- Within the first three months of her employment in 2017, she produced a direct mail fundraiser for the 2025 Vision campaign, which brought in over $70,000.
- That same year she restrategized our bike drawing fundraising campaigns and achieved record setting results on all subsequent campaigns she managed.
- She designed and oversaw the launch of our new membership program in 2018 and grew it to over 2,700 members in the first year.
- She started our first YouTube channel and produced 15 professional quality videos, which have a total of over 80,300 views across YouTube and Facebook.
- She served as event director for the first bike race in Big Basin Redwoods State Park, the Old Growth Classic, which many participants described as the best event they’ve ever done.
