Introducing our Trail Sage Program
We’re proud to introduce you to a few new faces you may see next time you volunteer with us. Meet your SCMTS Trail Sages! Click through the gallery to see them all.
Trail Sages are expert Trail Crew Leaders who have graduated from our Trail Academy series. They complete as-needed trail maintenance in local parks and organize and lead independent volunteer trail work events to keep outdoor experiences in that area stellar for all users.
When you sign up for a future volunteer event with us, you may have a Trail Sage joining you to lead the maintenance. They’ll teach you the skills needed to properly maintain trails, and can give you tips and tricks about just starting to get involved with SCMTS trail work because they’ve been there, too! We can’t wait for our volunteers to get to know each Trail Sage as they ramp up their trail knowledge.
