MBOSC Completes Bridge Reconstruction in DeLaveaga Park

January 8, 2018
This past Saturday MBOSC staff and volunteers reconstructed a bridge in DeLaveaga Park on the trail between Park Way and the driving range that failed during last winter’s storms. The crew hoisted the old bridge out of the creek, lengthened it, and reinstalled it so that it should stand up to many winters to come. The City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department supplied the necessary materials to get the job done. Another great project brought to you by the ongoing partnership between MBOSC and the City of Santa Cruz! Special thanks to Tom Wilson, Tim Miller, Pierre Tardif, John Cunniff, Scott Junker, Emilio Izquierdo, and our Trails Specialist, Jacob Hyde.
