We couldn't be more excited to hire our fourth employee, Jacob Hyde, as our Trails Specialist. Jacob, also known as Cob, will be spending most of his days out in the field building and maintaining various trail and pumptrack projects. He will be leading our volunteer trail work sessions throughout the year. Cob is well-known for his inspiring trail-building and riding skills.
"My name is Jacob, but you can call me Cob. I was born in England and grew up here in the Santa Cruz mountains. My passion is riding bikes; everything from BMX and mountain biking to unicycling. I spend my time building and maintaining trails, and building jumps in my backyard. I enjoy digging and working on the trails as much as I do riding them. My go-to after ride food is a burrito from La Hacienda. Hard work keeps me going and I love the feeling of being completely exhausted. When I’m not riding or digging you can find me surfing, skating, fishing, playing guitar, or hanging out at home eating snacks. My mantra is 'Have fun and don’t hold back… Send it!'. I am excited to turn my passion into a career and help maintain and build the trails I’ve spent my whole life caring about."

New Board Member - Keith Henderson

We are very grateful to have Keith Henderson join our Board of Directors. Keith has been a lifelong cycling enthusiast who grew up right on the edge of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Keith was the head coach of the Santa Cruz Composite high school mountain bike team for a number of years, and has raced competitively for many years himself.Keith works locally managing commercial construction and development projects throughout Santa Cruz County and has volunteered with multiple nonprofits in creating park spaces, the Bench Lands pump track, Homeless Garden Store and the Santa Cruz High Track to name a few. He’s also been a co-organizer of the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Bike Ride fundraiser that has raised nearly $1m towards county youth sports programs. We are really excited to bring Keith to the table to help us make Santa Cruz the best place to be a mountain biker.
