Bright Spots from a Challenging Year: Our 2020 Trails Report

February 17, 2021
2020 was a challenging year, but we're proud to share some bright spots from the trails team. Above, you'll see our 2020 trails report, in which we share details of the trail construction, maintenance and volunteer activities we led last year. We usually reserve this report for our land manager partners, but this year we wanted to share it with all of you as well. We hope you enjoy it!

Despite a global pandemic and raging wildfires throughout our beloved landscapes, MBOSC hosted regular volunteer events each week from June through December 2020, with over 376 unique volunteers to complete 3,233 hours of work on 15 trails in local parks while carefully monitoring air quality and temperatures.

We are proud to share the work we accomplished this year in parks throughout the Bay Area, and we look forward to continuing to introduce more trail users to trail stewardship in 2021. Thank you for your continued support and participation in our trails programming — without it, none of this would be possible.

Cheers,
The MBOSC Trails Programs Team: Drew, Emma, Maddie and Liam
