Restoring Hidden Falls Trail with the Girl Scouts
Did you know that you can hire our professional trail crew to build and restore amazing trails on your land? It’s true!
Recently, a few members of the SCMTS Trail Crew have been hired to complete some trail reroute work at Hidden Falls Camp, which is owned by the Girl Scouts of Northern California. The Hidden Falls Camp is one of the three camps the Girl Scouts have in the Santa Cruz Mountains. In addition to the Hidden Falls location, the group also has a camp in Butano Creek and one-off of Whitehouse Canyon, called Skylark Ranch.

The Hidden Falls Camp has been closed for quite awhile due to a landslide on the road. With Butano Creek and Skylark Ranch still damaged from the wildfires, the Girl Scouts are doing everything they can to speed up the reopening. We’re helping them get Hidden Falls back ready for campers by restoring a popular trail on the property that serves as the camp’s namesake.
The SCMTS Trail Crew is hard at work repairing the Girl Scouts’ trail to a private waterfall at the camp. Once we’re done, it’ll be much safer and easier for campers to access this special feature of the property. Check out the before/after photos in the slideshow below!
Do you have property that needs some trail work? Or maybe a brand new pumptrack? If so, give us a shout! We’re currently available for private projects, and you can feel good knowing that your project’s proceeds will go straight back into trail work out on your local trails.
