Felton Pump Track Get Your Name on a Sign

SCMTS LAUNCHES “GET YOUR NAME ON A SIGN” CAMPAIGN THROUGH FINAL STRETCH OF FELTON PUMP TRACK CONSTRUCTION

May 19, 2026

Local nonprofit Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship has partnered with the Santa Cruz County Parks to bring this new outdoor community resource to San Lorenzo Valley families, and is offering public recognition to community members who help to fund the pump track.

SANTA CRUZ, CALIF. –  Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship (SCMTS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit trail stewardship organization, today announced its launch of a “get your name on a sign” campaign to close the funding gap for the upcoming pump track in Felton Covered Bridge County Park, a joint project with Santa Cruz County Parks (County Parks or “the County”). The nonprofit is three weeks into construction of the new track, and hopes that this campaign will encourage community members to donate to support local outdoor recreation and close the project’s funding gap. Interested parties may donate to support track construction and continued maintenance by visiting santacruztrails.org/feltonpt.

Pricing for individual donor recognition at the Felton Pump Track is:
• “Community Champions” group sign = $150
• Individual mini champion sign (roughly 2x6”) = $1,000
• Individual large champion sign (roughly 4x12”) = $10,000

Pricing for sponsorship signage at the Felton Pump Track is:
• Business name on “Community Champions” group sign = $1,000
• Logo on shared sponsorship sign = $5,000
• Logo on large standalone sponsorship sign (36x36”) = $10,000

Please note that terms & conditions apply; visit santacruztrails.org/feltonpt for details and examples of signage offerings. This signage campaign will end in the weeks leading up to the pump track’s opening and space is limited; donate directly to secure your signage today.

“This pump track has truly been a community effort – from public meetings to early donations and generous support from local businesses, the Felton Pump Track is for the community, by the community,” said Matt De Young, Executive Director of Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship. “This campaign is our way of recognizing the individuals who support recreation and access in the San Lorenzo Valley; the final signage will pay homage to the community who made the project possible.”

The SCMTS team recently wrapped up grading and installation of drainage systems throughout the pump track, and is moving forward with shaping the dirt features. Once the dirt features of the pump track are feeling good, the team will finalize the shape with a layer of asphalt, and then put the finishing touches like paint, fencing, and signage on the track. SCMTS is targeting a late-summer opening for the new pump track.

SCMTS puts out frequent updates on the project via its InstagramFacebook, and email newsletters. Interested parties can hear about upcoming events first by subscribing to the organization’s channels. Making a donation via SCMTS’ Felton Pump Track webpage is the best way for members of the public to support pump track development. Visit santacruztrails.org/feltonpt to make a tax-deductible donation and get your name on a sign today.
