Laguna Creek

OPENED IN 2022

We built trails for the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County at Laguna Creek in the Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve! These hiking-only trails (no cycling here, please!) opened in April of 2022, and allow public access to a whole new property in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

About the property:

The Laguna Creek property is owned and managed by four local Land Trusts. The trail system is their gift to the community, and we’re proud to have built these new trails. In 2022, our team (with plenty of help from volunteers!) constructed the 1.5-mile trail network. This hiking trail connects with the Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve, which offers an additional 3.5 miles of trail.

Thank you to the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, along with their three partners, Peninsula Open Space Trust, Sempervirens Fund, and Save the Redwoods League, for the opportunity to build the Laguna Creek Trail. And thank you to the volunteers who contributed nearly 500 hours of time building this new trail!
